The Unicorn Tapestries
The Unicorn Tapestries are a series of seven late Gothic tapestries (circa 1495-1505) that depict hunters pursuing a unicorn that is eventually tamed by a virgin, whose purity draws it to rest peacefully with her. The fifth tapestry The Unicorn Surrenders to a Maiden has been mostly lost to time, only known by two fragments. This inspired me to create a complete rendition of the fifth tapestry, or perhaps a prologue that depicts the maiden in a different light.
